Rubber Expo Show Daily 2008 - (Page 10) 10 RUBBER MINI EXPO POST SHOW DAILY Trostel Establishes Bob Gamache Educational Program Trostel is partnering with the Rubber Division in developing the Bob Gamache Memorial Educational Program that will debut at the fall 2009 Rubber Expo and technical meeting. Gamache, who died in January 2008, retired from Trostel in 2001. He joined the company in 1976 as a process engineer, and was appointed president of the company in 1985. He began his rubber industry career in 1959 at International Packing Corp., after graduating from New Hampshire Technical College with an engineering degree. While at Trostel, an internationally recognized designer and manufacturer of custom seals, precision rubber molded products and custom mixed compounds, headquartered in Lake Geneva, WI, Gamache encouraged activities in research and development and aggressively pursued new sales opportunities. He grew the company’s manufacturing capabilities, added manufacturing plants in Wisconsin and Mexico, added a new polymer compounding division and acquired new technology. During his tenure, Trostel experienced substantial growth in both existing and new markets. Gamache was a continuous supporter of the Rubber Division and was also a member of the Rubber Manufacturers Association, the Polyurethane Manufacturers Association, the Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society of Bob Gamache Why Join? www.rubber.org Automotive Engineers.
