Ford
Ford will Display examples of our Global strategy to
lead on Design and Technology. At the exhibit, Ford’s
technology range on display will include electrification,
powertrain and infotainment technologies to name a few.
Ford’s design leadership will also be showcased in our
exhibit for attendees to see up close. We plan to have
the new Focus Electric and 2013MY Fusion Hybrid at
our exhibit along with static displays.

Futronic is an independent industrial company whose
entire business activity is focused on the automotive
industry. Futronic designs, manufactures and sells
components, integrated systems and modules of
electronic and mechatronic products for automotive.
Futronic plays the role of electronics & mechatronics
Co-engineer and accepts full responsibility for a
project from the beginning of development, production
and quality control to services based on QS-9000.
Futronic’s production and quality control management
utilizes SPC(Statistical Process Control) and a design
potential FMEA(Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
as an analytical technique to the extent possible,
potential failure modes and their associated causes
and mechanism. This systematic approach parallels,
formalizes, documents the mental disciplines that an
engineer goes through in any process, and supports the
design process in reducing the risk of failures. Because

Materials, IDM
Gamma Technologies
Element Materials Technology Wixom, Inc. (formerly Stork
Climax Research Services, Inc.) developed new and
improved alloys for wear resistance applications in the
late 1990’s. The research project under which the alloys
were designed was driven by the need to find better
alloys for the pulp and paper industry. The primary goal
of the research investigation was to find / invent alloys
with increased abrasion resistance, without sacrificing
strength and corrosion resistance. Out of this research
effort, a family of alloys was developed that displayed
much improved properties over the existing commercial
alloys generally employed in abrasive wear applications.
The alloy development was based on the steel alloy
440C and the high-chromium white iron alloys. These
alloys offer a good combination of corrosion resistance
and abrasion resistance. They were modified to increase
the carbide volume fraction for wear resistance, and yet
control the carbide shapes and their distribution in order
to attain comparable or improved strength values, as
determined by strength in three-point transverse bending.
The research was quite successful and the best of
