to produce propylene and polypropylene and
profound knowledge on the products and applications
accumulated throughout its history,

To highlight Hyundai Motor Group’s* commitment to
reducing the negative ecological impact motor vehicles
have on the environment, Hyundai Motor Group (HMG)
will display technologies that reduce emissions and
improve fuel economy. Additionally, HMG will also
highlight telematics offerings that help our customers
Get Connected. The HMG powertrain technologies on
display include the Gamma 1.6L GDI, which represents
Hyundai’s smallest gasoline direct injection engine.
Congress attendees will also have an opportunity to
see the R2.0 LP-EGR diesel engine which can lower
emissions and meet increasingly stringent regulatory
standards. The 6-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT)
offers low fuel consumption with the convenience of an
automatic transmission. Full eco- friendly vehicles on
display include the Hyundai Tucson, showcasing HMG’s
74
fuel cell technology and the Kia Ray electric vehicle,
which went into production in the Korean market at the
end of 2011. Telematics systems available on display
include Kia’s second generation infotainment system
(UVO2) and the third generation audio visual navigation,
multi-media system (AVN 3.0). *Note: Hyundai Motor

Thirty two years have passed since METIA was
incorporated in June of 1973 and committed to produce
castings for auto parts. We are specialized in producing
casting parts which are fundamental to the auto industry,
the whole of industrial technology. Currently, we supply
vital casting parts such as crank shafts, steering
knuckles, calipers and caliper housings to domestic
customers, and export to the USA, Japan and the UK.

IAV Automotive Engineering Inc
IAV will be exhibiting a variety of innovations at
Congress 2012, several of which are: Active Safety
Systems & Driver Warning Systems, Cockpit & Interior
/ Vehicle Infotainment, Powertrain Efficiency and Hybrid
Controls. We have submitted over 12 abstracts for SAE
World Congress which include the above topics. In
the area of Active Safety, IAV has developed advanced
Pedestrian Detection Systems. Its uniqueness involves
new methods and tools for development, verification and
validation of camerabased driver assistance systems.
Protecting pedestrians of injuries from accidental
collision is an important focus in the automotive industry
and by legislature. Provisions for crashworthiness
are to be enhanced by active systems for accident
avoidance. IAV’s current concepts combine monitoring
of the surroundings with pre-crash sensors, collision
prediction, driver warning and full or partial takeover of
control in critical situations. A requirement for this to
be effective is the reliable detection of pedestrians. It
goes without saying that pedestrian safety is beneficial
to OEMs and their customers. IAV is continuously
integrating mobile devices into Vehicle Infotainment
Systems by changing from a closed to an open system
