Collaboration
Increasing regulatory standards, shorter development cycles, continuing cost pressures and competing
technology options have led to collaboration in many industries as a way to meet these often competing
objectives and reach the goal of delivering customer value. This session will examine various collaboration
models to share lessons learned and best practices. An example from outside of the automotive industry and
one from outside North America will be presented along with several automotive case studies followed by a
panel discussion and Q & A. This discussion will provide input toward developing new collaboration models as
the industry moves forward.
Non-Automotive/Industry Collaboration – Example in US:
Larry Schneider, Vice President and Chief Engineer of the 777 Program, Boeing Commercial Airplanes
Auto / Industry Collaboration – Example in Europe:
Simon Godwin, Director, European Council for Automotive R&D
Preliminary Program as of July 10, 2013. Schedule is subject to change.
