Magazines and Books
The Society celebrated 100 years in the magazine business with a year-long special series in Automotive Engineering International. “AEI 100 Future Look” was a forum for top industry technical thought leaders to address the future of automotive engineering. Aerospace Engineering magazine was published once again in print with supplemental digital version and a bi-monthly technology e-newsletter. SAE launched its first-ever book/magazine hybrid product, which combines previously published digital magazine content with new magazine content and select SAE technical papers. The first edition of the new publication featured the development of the Chevrolet Volt. The Society completed digitization of its book portfolio, making more books available for sale in electronic format, and older books can be brought back into print vial print-on-demand capabilities. Overall, SAE International published 19 original content books in 201 and significantly expanded its content 1 partnership by including 23 new partners. In addition, SAE International launched six new media products in 201 They include: 1. • Three new technology e-newsletters: SAE Connected Vehicle, SAE Heavy-Duty and SAE Asia • A magazine editorial webcast series of hour-long shows that can be viewed live or in a later, on-demand format • Market research and custom digital magazines with products tailored for corporate customers
