The 2nd China BOD Meeting
The 2nd China 2016 BOD meeting was held May 10, 2016 in Shanghai. The secretary office reported
on the preparation for SAMPE China 2017. The exhibition space will be 10,000 Sqm and the technical
conference will focus on the industrial applications on advanced materials. Through the agreement of
all members, the theme of SAMPE China 2017 is "Advanced Material Leads the Innovation of Green
Industry". In addition, membership renewal and new chapters' development were discussed by all the
board directors.

Technical Training in Chengdu and Shanghai
The composite materials design training took place during June 22-24 in Chengdu. The main
contents include: composite material mechanics, laminated plate stiffness characteristics, strength
characteristics, allowable value and design value, material and process selection, structure designing,
technical requirements and defect damage, composite component designing, designing and
manufacturing, and various related cases.
The composite materials mechanical properties characterization training was held on July 21-22
in Shanghai. Due to the particularity of structure and damage mechanism of composite materials,
composite material mechanical properties characterization is an extremely complex system. This
training introduces the most advanced system of composite material mechanics performance
characterization of principles and related technologies. For composite materials and its structure,
manufacturing technology personnel must determine the mechanical properties in the process of the
development and production of structures. The related evaluation index and technology, providing the
least cost and time, and the most accurate evaluation system for achieving the goal of its engineering
application requires such excellent training
