This is a beautiful feather-leafed palm whose symmetrical form and smooth, flared trunk combine to create living sculpture for the landscape. Majesty palm does well in containers, both indoors and out. Use on a patio, deck, or sunroom. If you live in a frost-free area, plant one of these beauties as a specimen in a partly sunny area in the landscape where you can admire its shapeliness from the house or deck. Yellow flowers. Height 12–15' Spacing 6–8' Zones 9–11 Sago palm H. Cycas revoluta One of the most primitive living seed plants—an unusual and popular ornamental. Its rugged trunk, topped with whorled feathery leaves, makes it look like a palm, but it is actually related to conifer and gingko trees. It must become well established before it will bloom, which happens irregularly. Soil should drain quickly; don’t over water. The plants are quite cold hardy and can tolerate temperatures below 20°F. Very slow-growing.
