An entire roster of world-class acts, each one of them a headliner for most circuses, makes the Circus Sarasota show a gathering of the stars—the cream of the crop of the circus world all returning to what is still considered the Circus Capital: Sarasota. Ringmaster Joseph Bauer, Jr., a star of Circus Maximus and a 15th generation member of one of Switzerland’s oldest circus families, makes his debut performance with Circus Sarasota. His father had been personally signed by John Ringling and came to the United States to perform with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus in 1954.
