Hogan, who will begin his run with Austal next month, is the former Boral Limited divisional general manager. Brazilian Seafarer, Rodolpho Fonseca da Silva Rigueira, was awarded the 2008 IMO Award for Exceptional Bravery at Sea. Rigueira was nominated for the award by the Brazilian Government for his heroic actions in saving fellow crew members from a fire. Crowley Maritime Corporation, Jacksonville, Fla., has promoted Jim Gillen to vice president of engineering for the company’s petroleum services, marine Peter Hogan AUSTAL David Pearman CMA CGM Todd Busch TITAN SALVAGE services and petroleum distribution groups. In other company news, Rinus Schepen, Crowley’s senior vice president and general manager of logistics, has announced his retirement effective June 2009. The 20-year veteran will be replaced by Steve Collar. CMA CGM LLC, Norfolk, Va., announced the appointment of David Pearman as Equipment Director for North America. His responsibilities will be to oversee all aspects of the company’s equipment in addition to coordinating special equipment such as reefers and gensets. Additionally, the company named David Green its Director of Maintenance and Repair. Matcor Inc., Doylestown, Pa., has named Calvin Krusen Director of manufacturing for the 33-year- old company. Titan Salvage, a Crowley company, promoted Todd Busch to senior vice president and general manager of its technical services. The Waterways Council has elected Cornel Martin to president and CEO of the board. U.K.-headquartered Thomas Miller has promoted Charles Fenton to Chief Executive of the TT Club. Fenton will succeed Paul Neagle, who was appointed Chief Executive of Thomas Miller Investment. The changes will take effect this coming March. Spiro Risvas has been appointed Senior Vice President of Washington Marine Group- shipyard division. Bisso Marine names new VP of Salvage & Emergency response Mauricio Garrido has joined Bisso Marine. Garrido is serving as Vice President of Salvage and Emergency Response. A graduate of SUNY Maritime College, Garrido was most recently Managing Director of Titan Salvage.
