Each will feature Almaco’s food handling systems and products in galley, provision stores and refrigeration machinery. Other ships that already feature Almaco’s provision stores and refrigeration machinery include the MSC Musica and MSC Orchestra, the MSC Poesia is the third in this Musica-class series to feature Almaco and the seventh MSC ship containing Almaco deliveries. Almaco delivered 34 USPH-standard provision stores to the MSC Poesia, the stores are located on decks 3, 4, 5, 6 and 13. The cooling plant is divided into two systems—one unit with a stand-by to cool negative temperature rooms and the second unit with a stand-by unit cooling the positive temperature cold stores, as well as some refrigerators located in the galleys. The negative unit delivers a cooling capacity of about 100 kW and the positive unit has a bigger cooling capacity of 300 kW. Almaco will also be the exclusive contractor for all modified food handling areas on Pullmantur’s M/S Holiday Dream, which will enter service for French CDF Croisieres de France as M/S Bleu de France.
