We are seeking the following positions: • Quality/Systems Auditor • Technical Superintendent This nearly brand-new high speed catamaran, launched in July of 2004, has a top speed of 31 knots. Economical to run, the Provincetown III requires only a captain plus two crew and burns less than 130 gph at full power. This position requires a minimum of 5 years sailing under a Chief Engineer or Masters License, or equivalent education and experience. Must be computer literate including all MS Office products, with good oral and written communications skills. ISM/ISO Lead Auditor certified. Extensive travel and must be physically fit to board vessels, climb ships tanks and structures in inclement weather, and perform audits while at sea. Technical Superintendent. Requires a BS degree in Marine Engineering and 7-10 years experience, preferably sailing as a licensed engineering officer steam or diesel. Primary duties will include technical management of the fleet including the day-to-day oversight of vessel maintenance and reporting, purchasing and dry-docking arrangements. The position will liaison with Class, USCG and other regulatory bodies as needed to maintain vessel compliance with Class, domestic and international law. Travel required. The vessel was re-powered in 2006 with a set of new MTU 16V4000 engines and Reintjes reduction gears, which produce a service speed of 32 knots. The engine manufacturer’s 2-year warranty is transferable. The Flying Cloud has Kamewa waterjets, a full MDI ride control system with both t-foils and sternmounted interceptors, a fully integrated bridge with 2 Raytheon ARPA radar sets, Vistar night vision, TRANSAS chart plotter, CCTV system, port and starboard wing controls and is USCG-certified for 300 passengers and crew. Additional passenger capacity is possible with modifications to the vessel’s current seating arrangement.
