Newsmakers JOSEPH R . BADEAUX WAS RECENTLY named general manager and vice president of Quality Shipyards, LLC, Houma, La. Badeaux has 29 years’ experience in ship design, construction, repair, commissioning, project management and operations management. Quality Shipyards is the shipyard unit of Tidewater Inc. Tom Einertsen was recently appointed president of Aker Yards’ business area Merchant Vessels, and a member of the executive management team, succeeding Jürgen Kennemann. Einertsen reports to Yrjö Julin, president & CEO of Aker Yards, Oslo, Norway. W&O Supply, a major supplier of marine valves, pipe, fittings, engineered products and valve automation systems for shipbuilding, says it is “now seeing longer sales cycles that involve partnership with clients in the design of new and refurbished vessels.” To develop these relationships, W&O Sam Entriken W&O Supply Stephen Taylor ZF Marine Tom Einertsen Aker Yards Supply has hired two industry veterans for two newly created positions. Sam Entriken has been named director of sales and marketing. Entriken has previously held senior sales and operations positions with Scapa Group, Plc., J.M. Voith, Gmbh, Nash Engineering, Inc. and Hiller Systems, Inc. Also joining W&O Supply as business development manager is Steve Stafford, who has previously been employed with several electrical products distributors. Stephen Taylor has been appointed account manager for ZF Marine’s Gulf Coast and Inland River region. Taylor comes to ZF Marine with 20 years of marine propulsion experience working on commercial and government projects, in project management, and sales and marketing. He will be based out of ZF Marine LLC’s St Rose, La .,facility. InterAct PMTI, Houston, Tex., has named Brent Boudreaux as director of marine operations. InterACT PMTI, formerly Pacific Management Technologies Inc. (PMTI), was acquired by Acteon, a leader in seabed to surface technology.
