Tony Hatch, an independent Wall Street analyst, talked about the rail renaissance, which he said is here now. It proves deregulation has worked. If reregulators do succeed, then investors will flee from railroads. He sees domestic intermodal as the next big growth area, with many projects designed to get freight off highways and onto rails.
