Base of operations preferred to be located in Eastern Pennsylvania/New York since the territory covers NJ, NH, CT, RI, VT, ME, MA, DE, WA, DC, NY, PA, OH, eastern Ontario, Quebec,Nova Scotia,New Brunswick and New Foundland. This position does not offer relocation. Primary responsibilities include: maintain or increase sales of railroad products for each assigned account; conduct sales calls on railroad maintenance crews; demonstrate proper use of tools and perform minor product repairs; introduce and demonstrate new products to existing and new markets; resolve customer issues promptly; provide training for field service personnel and end users; assist in the negotiation of sales agreement; assist with forecasting and marketing strategies and gather market intelligence on competitor products. The ideal candidate should possess a two or four-year degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. Two to three years of relevant experience selling hydraulic or pneumatic tools is preferred. Candidate must have working knowledge of hydraulic and railway track maintenance products. Must have good understanding of customer needs, marketing and sales techniques, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to travel extensively (up to 80%). Candidate must also have the ability to lift up to 90 pounds to demonstrate hydraulic tools.
