Railway Track & Structures - June 2008 - (Page 59) PRODUCTS AND LITERATURE Portable crosstie changer TIEGEAR INTERNATIONAL has introduced the TC-2000 “Cluster Buster,” a portable tie changer that can be used while the rightof-way remains open. The unit weighs less than 45 pounds; clamps to the bottom flange of the rail. Cables in the unit are threaded under the rail and placed over the end of the tie. A manual pumping action of the unit’s handle removes the tie. The cables are reversed to permit a new tie to be pumped back under the rail. Features include a safety handle to prevent overloading, insulation to prevent shunting of track and three-piece pull-apart construction for ease of transport. The device is made of steel, aluminum, magnesium and highgrade bolts. Complete with cables and nylon straps. Available in 22 x 12 x 8in. canvas bag. Phone: 302-427-9257.
