We have a notch grinder that cuts through the crown of the rail down to the top of the web, making a square cutout. Then we have our special weld molds, made of sand and binder. The process generates the steel to fill that void. The product is currently at TTCI undergoing heavy-haul testing. It was in tests this past winter and spring and will be back in the fall after the hot days of summer have gone by.
