JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In this key role, the Technical/Quality Assistant will be responsible for documentation of the quality system, for all quality management related functions, including vendor-supplied products/components and ensuring that these products/components are in accordance with defined specifications. Key performance areas include, but are not limited to: • Supervising and coordinating inspection and test activities of the components received from suppliers • Monitoring upcoming deliveries of major components to ensure that a quality product will be delivered, without defect. • Reviewing reports, and test data, and conferring with Management, to resolve issues. • Facilitating training and education for inspectors and supplier support personnel. • Auditing suppliers to ensure that quality standards are met. • Assisting with the daily quality testing of welds during production. • Assisting with failure analysis and report writing. • Assisting the Director R & D/Quality, on as needed basis, with other projects. • Responsible for assisting with data input, creating reports, preparing PowerPoint presentations, creating graphs, etc. in a manufacturing and receiving inspection setting. JOB REQUIREMENTS •Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including highly developed interpersonal skills. • Past experience with Quality Management System audits is an asset. • High level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools is required. • SPC knowledge is an asset • Must be detail oriented and organized. • Must have previous quality experience e.g. ISO 9001:2000, AARM – 1003, internal audits.
