It’s real gold!
Black Hills

encounter a lot about gold...
gold rush, gold mines, gold
jewelry, panning for gold.
That's because the Black
Hills was — and still is —
the last great El Dorado on
the American continent.
The allure of gold is
still very much with
us, attested to
by the strong

Swimming pool complex with hot tub, snack shop, store & gift shop.
Rafter J Bar Ranch is comprised of five
camping areas separated by alpine meadows and
shaded by large Ponderosa pines. Choose a private,
secluded site, or camp close to the resort’s activity
center. Also, cozy new Camping Cabins.
The scenery of the Black Hills begins at your
campsite. All RV sites have utility hookups, with some
satellite TV sites. Large “Big Rig” sites with 50 amp
available. Tree-shaded tent sites. Pancake breakfast
available. Highly rated in Woodall’s & Trailer Life
magazines. Truly a destination camping resort!
Ranch activities include heated swimming pool, hot
tub, rec room and playground at our 160 acre resort.
Enjoy a crackling fire & quiet hours that begin at 10
p.m. There’s full-time camp security, of course.
The picturesque Black Hills National Forest sur-
rounds the resort on all sides...public lands with
unlimited access to recreational walking, trout fishing,
hiking & bicycling.
Rafter J Bar Ranch is a perfect headquarters for
Black Hills sightseeing, close to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy
Horse, 1880 Train & Custer State Park. We have gas,
propane and rental cars that leave from the resort.
Three styles
of cabins are
available.
The George S. Mickelson
Memorial Recreational
Trail, for hiking and
biking, adjoins our
resort. Bicycle rentals
available.

Traditionally
patterned in delicate grape
and leaf designs in colors
of pale pinks, greens and
yellows, it is sold nationwide,

Level, shady tent & RV campsites, with privacy
and seclusion separated by peaceful alpine meadows.
Heated bathhouses, showers, fire grates and wood.
By law, all “Black Hills
Gold Jewelry” must be
manufactured here in the
Black Hills. A handful of
Black Hills Jewelry manufacturers
create the world’s
inventory right here in
Rapid City. You can see the
gold artisans at work, and
visit factory outlet stores.
Nothing matches the
quality or beauty of real
gold. The best jewelry gets
its sparkle from clean, deep
incisions in the surface;
there should be no visible
sign of welding or soldering.
The grapes in each
cluster should be clearly
defi ned.
