The annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in the Black Hills is a time of busy
traffic, premium room rates and bikers by the thousands. We are forecasting
a sell-out of most lodging within 50 miles of Sturgis the nights of Aug.
9-12. The Rally starts and ends abruptly. Most bikers will arrive on Sat.
and Sun. (Aug. 7-8). By Sunday (Aug. 15) nearly all bikers have headed
home, and family vacationers resume their dominance in the Hills.
