Challenging educational art and science exhibits are offered by the M Apex Gallery in the new Classroom Building on the School of Mines campus. Exhibits are rotated every 4-6 weeks and trained personnel are always present to answer questions or to offer explanations concerning the exhibit. Guided tours may be arranged in advance. Have your photo taken with a President of the United States or enjoy the self-guided walking tour of M City of Presidents’ 42 life-size bronze statues that grace the downtown street corners. The M Journey Museum takes you on an incredible trek through time, from the violent upheaval that formed the mystical Black Hills over 2.5 billion years ago, to the continuing saga of the Western frontier. Admission for The Journey is well worth the four museums it includes – from the Geology/Archaeology portion, to the Sioux Indian Museum. Minnilusa Pioneer Museum and the Duhamel Plains Indian Artifact Collection.
