The Puyallup Fair Returns Sept 5-21 and Features Top-Name 21 and Features Top-Name Entertainers and Much More The Puyallup Fair has been a tradition in the Pacific Northwest since 1900, and is the eighth largest fair in the U.S. The fair drew more than a million visitors last year. This year, the fair runs from Friday, Sept. 5 through Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, and features top name entertainment, the PRCA Rodeo, animals, agriculture, rides, exhibits, food, and flowers. The Puyallup Fair offers a blend of tradition with trendy new offerings. Grange displays, top-name entertainers, quilts, cooking contests, an international photo exhibition, floral displays, food, animals and agriculture, and artisans are always favorites. FFA and 4-H also hold their state fairs at the Puyallup Fair. The grandstand stage will come alive with top name entertainment when Columbia Bank presents the Puyallup Fair Concert Series, including Carrie Underwood, Fergie, Kid Rock, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Al Jarreau/The Manhattan Transfer, and many more. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster outlets. This year, four screens will be featured for up-close concert viewing, including two LED screens 11’ x 14’, and two new screens, approx. 16’ x 20’. Luxury padded seating has been added to Golden Circle section. (l-r) Carrie Underwood, Al Jarreau and Fergie are all scheduled to appear at this year’s fair. Gates open at 10 a.m. daily, Sept. 5—21.
