community INSTANT ACTIVIST SPORTS Get Schooled By Steve Truman New Gay Basketball League Tips Off in October Jet City Hoops, a new co-ed gay basketball league in Seattle is looking for players for its inaugural fall season. The league is open to players of all skill levels, and has a goal of creating a fun environment where players can get together for weekly games. League play begins Saturday, October 18 at Miller Recreational Center, 330 19th Ave. E, on Capitol Hill, and runs through December 20. The league is planning playoff and championship games after regular season play. To register for the Jet City Hoops fall league go to www. jetcityhoops.org and sign up to be added to the mailing list. The registration fee is $75 per player, which includes gym rental and uniform.
