Q Why do I need to drink two shakes a day or use one shake plus one Meal-in-a-Bar? A They taste good, so why wouldn’t you, first of all? And both the Cinch shake and Meal-in-a-Bar have a great nutritional profile, providing more nutrition than you would normally get from a meal! Remember, it’s chock-full of protein and leucine to help you preserve lean muscle. Two shakes a day or one shake and one Meal-in-a-Bar are great ways to manage your weight and give you flexibility with the rest of your meal plan. It will keep your calories in check and keep you feeling satisfied. Cinch shakes and Meal-in-a-Bars are a safe and effective method to reduce your calories. Once you reach your goal weight, you can transition to one shake or one Meal-in-a-Bar a day. Q Does it matter which meal I choose to drink the Cinch shake or eat a Meal-in-a-Bar? A You can drink a shake or eat a meal bar at breakfast, lunch, or dinner, as long as you have two servings (either two shakes or one shake and one Mealin-a-Bar) a day. In addition, eat one healthy, sensible meal as shown in your meal plan. Try to avoid fast food. Q Do I have to mix the shake with milk or soy milk? A We recommend nonfat milk or low-fat soy milk for the best nutritional profile and to provide you with the full amount of protein and leucine you need in the Cinch Plan. Nowadays, soy milk and milk are available in small cartons, so you can take them with you and fix your shake at work or when you travel. In a pinch, you can mix the shake with water—one and a half servings.

Q Can I have snacks other than the Cinch Snack Bar? A We strongly suggest the Cinch® bar as your snack. (Our polite way of saying no.) With about 120 (the peanut butter one has 130) calories, it provides 10 grams of protein and three grams of fiber. It’s a great way to add hunger-fighting protein to your day and gives you extra leucine to help preserve lean muscle—without a lot of calories. If you just don’t want to eat the bar, here are some good snack alternatives: one cup nonfat yogurt,
