With more than 1,300 beautiful pink Kwanzan cherry trees blossoming in parks, along roadways and at attractions countywide, spring in Howard County awakens the human spirit filling it with hope, happiness and health. Everywhere you look pink prevails! Cherry tree groves in local parks provide the perfect backdrop for a “Pink Picnic” with family and friends. In historic Ellicott City, you can shake off the winter doldrums with a “Pink Walking Tour” that begins and ends amidst Blossoms of Hope groves. And in Columbia’s Town Center, Kwanzans parade pink along Little Patuxent Parkway to create the perfect inspiration to “Shop Pink” for that new spring wardrobe. You can play a part in the pink season’s effort to raise cancer awareness in a variety of ways.
