Bedolla received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California, while working as a piping designer at Fluor. Upon receiving his bachelor’s degree, he immediately transitioned into engineering for a period of five years, which led to his promotion into project management. He has since continued to further his knowledge in engineering, in project management and in leadership through attending many specialized training courses. Throughout his career, Bedolla has been creative and resourceful. He has completed assignments on location in countries around the world, including Iran, Venezuela, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Malaysia, Australia and several in the United States. “Working at Fluor has given me many opportunities to expand my understanding and appreciation for other cultures,” said Bedolla. “I have worked with hundreds of people across the globe, and these S tephen Bedolla began his career as a piping design engineer in 1973, and today, he serves as a vice president, project director within Fluor’s Energy & Chemicals Group. From working closely with Fluor’s clients to managing the design, implementation and improvement of internal procedures and processes, Bedolla continues to generate the kind of innovative ideas that help the company stay at the forefront of its industry. He has worked on several projects that have received awards for safety, and he has played key roles in securing contracts with several of Fluor’s largest clients. “Fluor continually challenges all of its employees, while providing us with the tools we need to be creative and effective,” notes Bedolla. “Working on various different projects throughout my career has presented me with many opportunities for improvement, both my own and the company’s.” When asked about his plans for the future, Bedolla simply stated, “To continue to provide the best service to our clients and to the company.
