SHPE - Winter 2008 - (Page 49) CONFERENCE 2007 Technical Paper Competition This year’s competition included the participation of 20 undergraduate and 8 graduate students. The technical papers were evaluated on originality, technical content, quality of presentation, significance of work and usefulness to Undergraduate Competition First Place Elizabeth Paoletti University of Buffalo “Material Flammability Testing Under Simulated Microgravity and Extraterrestrial Environments” humankind. Competition sponsors Intel and Chevron awarded each undergraduate and graduate first place winner with a $1,000 scholarship while second and third place winners received $750 and $500 scholarships, respectively.
