SilverLink - Spring/Summer 2008 - (Page 30) Photographs and Video coverage ensures that photographs can be retaken if the photographer fails to appear or if the original negatives are lost, damaged, stolen or improperly developed. Travel and accommodation expenses incurred by the bride, groom, honoree and members of the immediate families to reassemble for pictures are also covered. Charges will be covered to rehire a photographer, rent the premises to restage ceremony pictures, buy a new wedding cake, order flowers or rent necessary wedding or special attire. Personal Liability pays up to the coverage limit for an accident that occurs during a covered event and results in bodily injury or property damage. Additional Insured Endorsements and certificates of insurance may be issued at any time upon your request. Take note of the available liability coverage, because many liability policies, including your homeowner’s policy, may not offer this specific type of coverage. General coverage includes property damage liability for property rented for your event site, when that property is considered to be in your custody. Host liquor liability is also included. Gifts coverage will pay up to the coverage limit for repair or replacement of gifts which are lost, stolen or damaged within the policy territory. Medical Payments covers reasonable medical expenses for each person who may be injured during the covered event. The cost for private event insurance is minimal, ranging from $95 to $200. The term of the policy covers the actual date of the event. Pre- and post-event factors are also included. Event insurance does more than protect against losses resulting from physical damage. It can also protect you from liability exposure by providing coverage when your homeowner’s liability either doesn’t cover such losses or is inadequate for the amount or type of exposure. With this newfound knowledge, go ahead and plan a celebration. Have a party. Host a charitable event. Just be sure that you don’t risk your own personal insurance coverage. Private event policies are a viable option that provides you with the protection you need while ensuring that everything you worked so hard to coordinate goes just the way you planned. Rented Property will be repaired or replaced in the case of loss, theft or damage. Special Attire pays to repair or replace a bridal gown or other special attire if it is lost, stolen or damaged. This includes loss due to financial failure of the providing vendor. Special attire includes the clothing and accessories bought or rented by the bride, groom, honoree or their attendants at the wedding or private event ceremony. Jewelry coverage allows for repair or replacement of your jewelry if it is lost, stolen or damaged within the policy territory. Loss of Deposits pays for unrecoverable deposits if a hired vendor goes out of business before your event takes place. CONTACT PAM MCCAWLEY AT 402.96 4.5570 OR PMCCAWLEY@ SSGI.COM 30
