The result is a recipe for success—Omaha Performing Arts. Established in June 2000, Omaha Performing Arts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the finest local, national and international artistic performances to Omaha and the surrounding region. Now in its third season, Omaha Performing Arts serves more than 350,000 people annually, including 35,000 children. Under the direction of Chairman of the Board John Gottschalk and President Joan Squires (pictured on our cover), Omaha Performing Arts manages two impressive venues: the Orpheum Theater and the Holland Performing Arts Center— the former, a majestic proscenium theater and the latter an acoustically acclaimed concert hall. The organization’s commitment to the arts extends into its own series, Omaha Performing Arts Presents, which brings a variety of renowned entertainers to both facilities. Omaha Performing Arts also manages Ticket Omaha, a local ticketing service for events that take place at the Orpheum Theater and the Holland Performing Arts Center. Managing the day-to-day operations of this fully integrated arts organization is no small task for the employees of Omaha Performing Arts.
