SilverLink - Spring/Summer 2008 - (Page 38) Nebraska Children’s Home - Project Santa During December 2007, our Wellness Activities Group held a gift drive for the Nebraska Children’s Home. Associates purchased nearly 100 toys and articles of clothing and distributed them as Christmas presents to underprivileged children. Wellness Council of the Midlands Trek Up the Tower SilverStone Group donated over $700 to the Wellness Council of the Midlands by having 16 Associates participate in the 2008 Trek Up the Tower on February 23. A vertical race to the top of the First National Bank Tower in downtown Omaha, the event saw 750 people climb 40 floors, 870 steps and 633 feet into the sky. Lydia House - Channel 94.1 Diaper Drive In December 2007, SilverStone Group Associates donated $465 to the Open Door Mission’s Lydia House to purchase diapers for Channel 94.1’s annual Diaper Drive. The money will purchase over 3,000 diapers for less-fortunate children at the Lydia House. Thank you to Michelle Hansen-Frost for getting Associates involved with this worthwhile cause.
