Earthen slopes up to 70 degrees from horizontal can be safely designed in accordance with methodologies accepted by the Federal Highway Administration and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a multitude of project applications. The program, named StrataSlope, is now available on Strata’s newly redesigned web site www.geogrid.com and is recommended for use by experienced geotechnical and civil engineers familiar with the technology of mechanically stabilized earthen structures. The Prolog Connect solution includes the Prolog Connect Server, a Web Services platform built on a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). This advanced platform creates integrations with other software systems over the Internet, regardless of location or device type. Prolog Connect allows the exchange of Prolog data with other systems while maintaining data integrity, and adhering to business logic, security settings and the system nomenclature established by your organization. Prolog Connect improves user productivity by enabling the creation of custom Microsoft Office Business Applications (OBAs). Well lights are typically placed in a landscape design to illuminate trees, fountains, arbors or other garden features. The new Orbit/Evergreen FG Series features five models with varied cover styles to direct the light source, including full view, louvered, round hood, square hood or a vandal-resistant crisscross cover. Models are available in black or bronze and are constructed from injection-molded PBT composite. A new adjustable lamp bracket allows the user to tilt the lamp + 25° for direct illumination of the garden subject. Circle 219 on Reader Service Card or www.SLDTonline.com/webcard U.S. Architectural has expanded the Galaxy Series, a versatile collection of streetscape fixtures with more than 100 different design options. Key components in the Galaxy line can be interchanged to create custom-styled luminaires for public parks, streetscapes, plazas, roadways and commercial centers. Galaxy now features 13 models with varied heights and widths, depending on site requirements. Options include interchangeable hoods and diffusers in multiple sizes and designs, along with unique mounting arms in arch, deco, yoke, post top and swooped styling. Galaxy luminaires are offered in seven light distribution patterns with either horizontal or vertical lamps, ranging from 70 to 400 watts. TurfSpy lenses block out the green spectrum reflected from chlorophyll in healthy vegetation. Stress conditions, such as disease, drought, pests or poor nutrition, are revealed with glowing colors (red, coral, pink) and can be detected 2-10 days before they are otherwise visible. The ANSI-approved safety glasses have a new wrap-around lens and an adjustable earpiece for comfortable wear. Help identify fusarium patch, pythium blight, yellow patch, brown patch, anthracnose and poa grass invasions for early treatment. CULTEC models were added to the software in response to inquiries from engineers, consulting firms, and municipalities who use the company’s chambers to solve their stormwater management and septic leachfield needs. StormNET is a hydrodynamic modeling package that helps analyze and design urban stormwater, wastewater, and combined sewer systems. It can handle a variety of complex flow situations such as looped networks, interconnected ponds, and pumps. In addition, StormNET can model all aspects of stormwater quality/quantity and incorporates best management practices (BMP), such as CULTEC systems.
