Botany 2008 Conference Program

General Meeting Information Registration Area Hours On-site registration, pickup of registration packets for those who have pre-registered, and late purchase of social event tickets can be done at the Registration Area. Registration is located in the lobby of the Student Union Building. Friday: July 25 for Field Trip participants 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Saturday July 26 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Sunday July 27 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday July 28 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Tuesday July 29 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Wednesday July 30 7:30 am to 12:00 pm Posters and Poster Sessions Posters will be on display for the duration of the meeting in the Exhibit Hall from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Wednesday. Regular submission posters will ﬁt onto bulletin boards that are 4’ tall and 4’ wide. Recent topics posters will ﬁt onto bulletin boards that are 4’ tall and 4’ wide. Materials may be secured with push pins, which will be provided. Botany 2008 management and the University of British Columbia are not responsible for any poster materials remaining a�er 5:00 pm on Wednesday, July 30. Poster set-up time is Saturday July 26 (12:00 pm – 5:00 pm) and Sunday July 27 (12:00 pm to 6:00 pm). Poster take-down time is Wednesday July 30, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Special Services If you require special accommodations, assistance, or services, please let a Botany 2008 representative know by contacting the Conference Oﬃce Room 205 Student Union Building. All Society Poster Sessions will take place Monday July 28 12:00- 1:30 for all Even Numbered Posters Tuesday July 29 12:00 – 1:30 for all Odd Numbered Posters Child Care A�endees are responsible for making all arrangements with si�ing services through conference services at UBC. Botany 2008 assumes no responsibility for any diﬃculties or consequences arising from the use of a child care provider and recommends that the provider be screened carefully. Society and Social Ticketed Events Coffee Breaks Complimentary coﬀee breaks will be held in the Exhibit Hall in the Student Union Building, which will serve as the hub of the conference, at speciﬁc times each day. For those who pre-register, event tickets will be included in your registration packet, which will be distributed on-site at the registration desk. A limited number of tickets may be available for purchase at the registration desk on-site at the meeting, but availability is not guaranteed.
