Springfield Sliders Part of the Prospect League
- collegiate wood bat summer league - the
Springfield Sliders prepares players for the minor
league while also entertaining fans in a family
friendly environment at an affordable price.
Springfield Jr. Blues Part of the NAHL (only USA
Hockey Sanctioned Tier II Junior League) Midwest
Division, the Springfield Jr. Blues provides an
opportunity for players aged 16-20 to develop and
build career opportunities. Springfield plays at the
Franklin P. Nelson Center with lively entertainment

Midstate Mayhem Roller Derby The Midstate
Mayhem Roller Derby is a non-profit amateur roller
derby league run by all female skaters.
Springfield Mile The Springfield Mile ran its first AMA
national in 1937. The race ran annually from 1946 to
1966 during the Illinois State Fair. After a time away
from the Springfield track the race returned in 1982.
Today the city welcomes motorcycle enthusiasts
from around the country.
