The Master of Science in International Economics (MSIE) program will give you a solid foundation in economic theory and quantitative methods. It will equip you with the knowledge and functional skills necessary to compete in the global economy. You may also choose to pursue the Economic Development track. You must complete the program in no more than five years. You will learn to: · construct and use international financial databases and spreadsheets; · apply sophisticated statistical methods to estimate and test economic models; · apply advanced forecasting techniques for economic, financial, and marketing research; · analyze international trade issues and policies, the international monetary system, and the foreign exchange market; and · manage exchange rate risk. admission requirements To be considered for admission to the Master of Science in International Economics program, you must: · Hold a US bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution (or international equivalent) · Submit your official GRE or GMAT scores · Submit your official TOEFL or IELTS scores and provide a statement of financial resources if you are an international student · Complete the application process · Have taken undergraduate courses in principles of economics and in principles of statistics as prerequisites to admission.
