He appreciates the diversity among his students, too. “With an average of 10 different nationalities represented in a class, it is easy to foster learning about cultural, political, and economic differences,” he says. Behnam leads the Introduction to Global Business course and a Global Travel Seminar to Germany. His students spend 12-hour days at Lufthansa in Frankfurt, Adidas world headquarters in Nuremburg, and BMW in Munich. They tour each organization and spend at least half their visit working in teams to solve a current problem facing the corporation. At the end of the day, teams present their ideas and receive immediate feedback from company executives. “I make my students work!” Behnam says. Their efforts are worthwhile—some have been offered internships as a result of their participation in this seminar. fnib 902 Global Capital Markets, Financial Institutions, and Risk Management mba 630 Economic Analysis for Managers mb 640 Corporate Financial Reporting fnib 903 Valuation and Capital Budgeting in a Global Environment and Control acib 872 Multinational Financial Analysis and Control OR mba 650 Value-Based Financial Management mba 660 Marketing: The Challenge of Managing Value mba 670 Information Systems for Competitive Advantage international marketing mkib 817 International Marketing mkib 901 Global Consumer Cultures mkib 902 Global Supply Chain Management mba 680 Managing in the Ethical and Legal Environment global requirements (10 credits/4 courses) mkib 903 Managing and Communicating Brands in Global Markets mkt 810 Marketing Research for Managers mba 780 Managing in the Global Environment full-time students Enroll in one course/6 credits: mba 800 Strategic Management mgib 850 Global Travel Seminar (1 week travel course) gmba 800 Global Internship (3 months in summer) gmba 850 Capstone Seminar (1 credit) part-time students Enroll in two 3-credit courses/6 credits: gmba 902 Global Experiential Research Project (company-based) and mba elective OR Enroll in one course/6 credits: gmba 800 Global Internship (3 months in summer) Course descriptions begin on page 55.
