Our	students	tap	into	a	network	of		
academic	resources	to	pursue	their		
ambitions,	develop	strengths,	and	take		
hold	of	opportunities	that	SUNY	makes

Breadth.

SUNY's	64	campuses	offer	a	full	range	of	academic	
programs	and	degrees.	Majors	span	from	programs	
in	conventional	career	fields-such	as	business,	
engineering,	and	medicine-to	programs	focused	
on	future	needs	in	areas	like	nanoscale	science,	
sustainability	studies	and	green	building	technology.	
Undecided?	Many	students	are	not	defined	by	a		
single	academic	interest;	they	add	majors	or	minors	
to	their	declared	area	of	study	or	change	their	choice	
altogether.	
Undeclared	is	a	popular	major	and	at	most	campuses	
it	is	"ok"	to	be	unsure.	Our	faculty	and	staff	will	help	
you	explore	and	find	the	major	that	is	right	for	you.		

Depth.

Exciting	options	are	available	to	you	through	SUNY	
honors	programs.	Offered	by	48	campuses,	these	
programs	may	provide	opportunities	to	customize	
your	academics,	participate	in	cross-disciplinary	
study,	research	or	independent	study	with	faculty,	
receive	merit	scholarships	and	reside	in	honors	
housing.

Instruction	is	provided	by	world-renowned	professors,	researchers,	Nobel	Laureates,	Pulitzer	Prize	
winners	and	Emmy,	Tony,	and	Grammy	award		
recipients	invested	in	helping	students	succeed.	
You'll	find	experts	from	every	field	teaching	in	both	
our	traditional	classrooms	and	online.		

Focused.

Many	SUNY	campuses	now	offer	degree	planning	
software	as	part	of	a	system-wide	initiative.	At	those	
campuses,	progress	bars	show	where	you	are	on	
your	academic	journey	and	visual	indicators	identify	
exactly	which	courses	and	requirements	are	needed	
to	graduate.	Focusing	on	degree	requirements		
ensures	that	you	will	graduate	on	time	and		
on	budget.
