Register now for the Rising Star Quartet Contest; an adjudicated barbershop quartet competition for women ages 25 and younger. Get Registered! The Rising Star Quartet contest is limited to 20 contestants and entries are accepted in the order received. The fee for registration is $100 per quartet and must accompany the entry form. The Rising Star Quartet Contest registration fee is waived if any two members of the competing quartet purchase all-events registrations for the 2009 International Prizes: First Place: $2,000 and an invitation to perform at the 2010 Sweet Adelines International Convention the week of October 19-23 in Seattle, Wash. Second Place: $1,000 Third Place: $500 Convention. Competitors are responsible for their own housing, food and transportation. Refer to the Official Rules for more details. You will also receive sample scoresheets for the International Quartet Finals competition and the opportunity to evaluate the quartet finalists.
