Getting the Most
out of TCEA 2014
hether this will be your first TCEA Convention &
Exposition or your tenth, these practical tips will
prepare you to "Get Inspired."
When packing for TCEA 2014, remember that you'll need
some space in your luggage to bring home all the swag,
products, and prizes you'll pick up at convention.
Badges will NOT be mailed to you in advance this
year. Instead, we will have print-on-demand stations at
registration where you can print your badge.
Get a jump on the crowd by checking in on Sunday,
February 2, from 12 p.m. - 7 p.m. This will leave you free to
make a beeline to your first session Monday morning.
Registration has moved this year. It will be held in Ballroom
A on the Cesar Chavez side of the convention center.
Download the convention app by searching for TCEA2014
in your app store to access all the information you need
to navigate convention, right at your fingertips.
Comfortable shoes are a must. The convention center
spans four city blocks, and with all the playgrounds,
sessions, workshops, and events you'll want to attend plus
the enormous exhibit hall you'll want to explore, sensible
footwear will be crucial.
Dress in layers or bring a sweater. The convention center
tends to be cool, especially in the workshop and session
rooms, regardless of the temperature outdoors.
Coffee is the life-blood of convention. There are two coffee
stations in the convention center, and there are Starbucks
in the lobby of the Hilton, Radisson, and Residence Inn,
and one at the corner of 6th Street and Congress.
Travelling to TCEA 2014 from out of town? Take the Airport
Flyer from the airport to downtown for just $1. Check the
Capital Metro page for departure times and destinations.
