Villagers recall time spent with commanders in chief

or Americans, the word “president” conjures numerous images and associations. Whether they envision the White House’s Oval Office, the melody of “Hail to the Chief,” or see the faces of presidents of the current time or the past, their connection is abstract. For a small group of Villages residents, that connection is more concrete. They have not only met the presidents of their day, they’ve called them something few Americans can — their boss.
