Friends
One of the best things about living in The Villages is all of the new friends you make and all of your longtime friends coming to visit. In The Villages, the weather is beautiful and there is so much to do! Here are some great ideas for a fun day or night out or in.
Spending time with
Sun Yourself
No matter the weather, the pools in The Villages always are heated. Take visiting friends to one of our gorgeous family pools or go sun yourselves with Villager friends. You will get some good-for-you vitamin D and get to visit with good friends. Just don’t forget the sunscreen.
Go Bowling
Get competitive: Do couples against couples, or better yet, a war of the sexes, boys versus girls.
Woof!
There are two dog parks in The Villages, if you’re a pet lover, our guess is that your friends are, too. Take a trip to one of the dog parks in The Villages. Watching your pooch have a ball means you will, too.
Games With Friends
Go buy a new game, grab take-out from one of the many area restaurants, invite some friends over and have some fun. Some popular games for 2012 are Jenga, NBC’s Minute to Win It, Apples to Apples, Catch Phrase or Bunco. Or if you’re a gaming enthusiast, the latest and greatest is the XBox 360 Kinnect, like the Wii but it records your body movements so a control in hand is not needed.
Shopping As Sport
There are so many great places to shop in The Villages — there are too many to mention. Grab friends for a day of shopping and see who can find the cutest pair of shoes, hat — you get the idea.
Get Your Nails Done
There is not much more girlie than grabbing a few friends to get your nails and toes done. Hot tones for spring 2012 are neutrals, lovely shades of pink, and bright yellows and greens.
For Our Resident Guys
Most of the country clubs have televisions on-site to watch the big games. Go play golf, then head to the bar area for drinks and watch your favorite teams.
Show them what The Villages is all about
There are more than 1,900 activities in The Villages. Get a guest pass for your friend and take him or her to a class that might interest them or show them the classes you are taking in The Villages. Our guess is that your friends might move here. For current Villagers, go along with friends for a new class you have not experienced before — you may develop a new interest.
