ingreDients | makes 3 Loaves

2 cups plus 2 tablespoons warm, whole milk;
6 eggs, room temperature; 1 tablespoon active
dry yeast; 2 cups sugar; 1/2 pound butter, melted
(if using salted butter, omit the salt); 1/2 teaspoon
salt; 1/2 cup sour cream; 1 teaspoon vanilla; 9 cups
all-purpose flour, divided; 1 to 1 1/2 cups chocolate
chips, raisins or nuts of your choice; 2 bars white
chocolate, melted; Sprinkles

Directions

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups plus 2
tablespoons of warm milk, 6 eggs, 1 tablespoon of yeast,
2 cups of sugar, warm melted butter, 1/2 teaspoon of salt,
1/2 cup sour cream and 1 teaspoon vanilla. 2. Add 4 cups
of flour to make a batter the consistency of sour cream.
3. Cover with a cling wrap and a towel and let it rise in a
warm place for 2 hours. 4. Add 5 more cups of flour; one
cup at a time or until the dough no longer sticks to your
hands, to make a very soft and elastic dough. 5. Stir in 1
to 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips or raisins, candied citrus
peel or nuts. (Anything you like in your sweet bread.)
6. Cover and let dough rise another 2 hours in a warm
place. The rising process will take longer if your house is
not very warm. 7. Divide dough evenly into three, welloiled 8-inch baking pans. Try not to handle the dough too
much. 8. Let dough rise uncovered in a warm place for
additional 2 hours or until you see a significant rise.
9. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes or until golden. Remove
from the pan and cool on a wire wrack. 10. Once the
loaves are at room temperature, melt white chocolate in
a double boiler over low heat and cover the tops of the
bread with it. 11. Use sprinkles to decorate.

Deviled Eggs
ranch DeviLeD eggs: Mash 6

hard-boiled egg yolks with 1 tablespoon of
mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard and
1/4 cup of ranch dressing. Fill the egg whites
with the yolk mixture. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons
barbecue sauce and top with chopped scallions.
DeviLeD eggs with a kick: Mash 6 hardboiled egg yolks with 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon
Dijon mustard, the zest of 1 lemon and 2 teaspoons
chopped pickled jalapenos. Season with salt and pepper
and then spoon the mixture into the egg whites. Top with
canned fried onions and sprinkle with paprika.
saLsa DeviLeD eggs: Mash 6 hard-boiled egg

yolks with 3 tablespoons of drained chunky salsa and 1
tablespoon of sour cream. Top with fresh cilantro.
