{ For The Love oF ArT } Sketching her way around town, the Village Santo Domingo resident has art displayed at Rohan and Fenney Recreation centers. She converts much of her work into calendars and coloring books for purchase at local art shows. "A few years ago, coloring books became a craze," she said. "Did you know there are around 17 different groups you can join here to color? I started going to the meetings and it was such a joy. Many of the members are budding artists - finally finding time in their lives to devote to art. There's a hush in the room, and you see they are really into it, and they can't wait to show me what they've done with my drawings." At 94 years young, Venturoni continues to draw to stay busy, creatively engaged and connected to the community. She wields the only implements she's ever needed to enjoy life - pen, paper and perspective. Above drawings adorn the walls of Rohan Recreation Center.
