MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT priso Corp. has introduced a version of its FlexNet manufacturing operations management software specifically designed for consumer goods manufacturers. PACKAGING EXECUTION SYSTEM ackaging execution system provider Systech International has introduced version 8.0 of its Systech TIPS Engine, which uses a building-block architecture to represent the workflow of a packaging line. Tailored for pharmaceutical manufacturers, the software mirrors actual packaging line information functions, including vision inspection, line management, serialization, and performance measurement. Data from each vision and line management system streams quickly to other critical packaging line applications, such as serialized product tracking and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). A new engine user interface uses icons, which packaging line engineers can assemble and realign as needed, to visually represent the system’s components and functions. The system also can be integrated with enterprise or manufacturing systems. www.managingautomation.com/Systech A P AXIOHM THERMAL PRINTER A Apriso FlexNet for Consumer Goods gives manufacturers real-time visibility into and control of operations processes — including production, inventory, and supply chain management — that may be spread across multiple plants in different geographies. This enables manufacturers to identify quality problems as they occur, helping them to address those problems quickly and avoid delays in bringing new products to market. The product also supports the integration of enterprise resource planning and product lifecycle management systems, allowing consistent product information to be continually updated and shared by plant and corporate systems. Using this feature, companies can easily and quickly manage April steron, a new panel mount printer from Axiohm, features fast printing, robustness, large paper roll capability, and a clamshell design.
