Toro products are distributed in more than 80 countries and throughout the United States by a network of professional distributors, dealers and retailers. Toro’s corporate accounts are large accounts involved in golf course management, golf course construction, landscape and lawn care. These accounts purchase Toro products from multiple distributors. With the Sterling Multi-Channel Selling Solution, Toro allows large accounts such as golf course management to easily purchase parts online that are then fulfilled by local distributors based on ZIP code information. The Sterling solution allows Toro to apply pricing and discounting based on each distributor, and in turn the distributors can easily generate customer proposals. Business Challenge Toro customers wanted better access to product information. Corporate Accounts needed order accuracy assurance when selecting and configuring the correct products, as well as getting the most upto-date pricing information. Toro sought a solution that would make it easier for all customers to do business with them. Solution With the Sterling Commerce Multi-Channel Selling Solution (MCS), Toro allows large accounts to easily purchase parts online that are then fulfilled by local distributors based on ZIP code information. MCS allows Toro to apply pricing and discounting based on each distributor, and in turn the distributors can easily generate customer proposals.
