Premium car seat specialist Recaro is finding that out as it tries to give manufacturing duties to its logistics partner, DHL. A year ago, Kirchheim, Germany-based Recaro and DHL announced a deal under which DHL would start building finished goods for Recaro customers, while Recaro would continue to design seats and find global sources of leather, metal, plastics, carbon fiber, foam, electronics, and other components. The arrangement also called for DHL to ship components and final products.
