According to the release, AllCompass provides a variety of prepaid calling cards that allow consumers to make calls worldwide from any phone. Prior to the upgrade, AllCompass operated a 20,000-port network consisting of PhoenixSoft’s legacy CMS switch and a few smaller NACT switches. AllCompass selected PhoenixSoft’s new Cirrus Softswitch to integrate the multiple platforms and migrate to advanced, yet low-cost, VoIP applications, according to the release. “We’ve been using PhoenixSoft switching solutions for three years now and are very satisfied with the quality and reliability of the new Cirrus softswitch,” said CEO of Allcompass, Jay Kim. “With network technologies moving to VoIP, we’re especially happy PhoenixSoft developed a viable migration path for us. The Cirrus Softswitch easily upgraded our legacy network. We can now take advantage of new, high quality VoIP routes and eliminate many costly components within our network. In addition, the upgrade investment allows us to offer more competitive pricing with five times the capacity to accommodate our increased traffic,” continued Kim. “Our goal is always to develop long-term partnerships with our customers,” said Paul Amick, PhoenixSoft’s co-founder. “To do this, we must continually develop technologies that address current network issues and bring real value to our customers’ business models at the same time. “Providing an easy migration path for AllCompass that reduced component requirements yet capitalized on their previous network investments was very important to us,” continued Amick. “With Cirrus, we’re able to migrate not only our customers operating legacy PhoenixSoft switches, but all service providers with legacy networks. We’re confident the feature-rich Cirrus Softswitch will greatly impact AllCompass and its customers and we look forward to serving their switching requirements well into the future.” Source: PhoenixSoft, Inc. LAS VEGAS, NV (June 17, 2008) Dialogic Corporation has enhanced its Dialogic IP Media Server, a carrier-grade, software-based product. The new IP Media Server will support an integrated T.38 Fax over IP (FoIP) capability, which will allow service providers and their messaging platform vendors to deploy voice messaging services in a mixed business and residential environment. Dialogic has also expanded its relationship with Sun Microsystems by validating the capabilities of the IP Media Server product with servers in Sun’s Netra line of carrier-grade platforms. The company says that Dialogic’s IP Media Server, combined with Sun’s NEBS-certified Netra servers will power a broad range of media-rich next-generation services for wireline, wireless, and broadband networks. “The revenue potential of rich media solutions in today’s networks is tremendous,” said Mark Butler, director, Netra Systems Product Line, Sun Microsystems. “However, carriers are challenged with bringing down the infrastructure cost of that first subscriber. The combination of the flexibility and cost-effectiveness of Dialogic’s IP Media Server together with the virtualization, compute and networking technology of Sun’s Netra platform can enable carriers to significantly reduce that cost and to build the foundation for cost-effective next-generation networks.” Dialogic says the new release will also provide an increase in the capacity of IP Media Servers for voice conferencing and messaging, reducing the number of servers needed. “Dialogic is firmly committed to enabling our partners to continually innovate in the market for media-rich next-generation services,” stated Jim Machi, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Dialogic. “We do this not only by extending our product capabilities to tap growth areas such as Fax over IP (FoIP), but also by partnering with industry leaders such as Sun Microsystems.” Source: Dialogic Corporation (www.dialogic.com) DIAL WORLD NETWORK, the industry’s most innovative prepaid service bureau, is about to change that.
