Paris Holt CEO & Founder, telSPACE paris@telspace.com For the last 15 years, Paris has held management positions at some of the nation’s most prominent wireless carriers such as Frontier Wireless and AT&T Wireless, where he headed up marketing and product development. Paris has also worked for Ameritel Communications, a division of US Communications, as its VP of Sales & Marketing, where he acquired over 125,000 wireless subs, making Ameritel the third largest MVNO in the US. In March of 1998, Paris founded telSPACE, which has grown into one of the industry’s largest turnkey convergent communications wholesale enabling platform, making it possible for any enterprise in any industry to become a nationwide MVNO. In 2005, Paris spearheaded a project called mCASH, a platform where clients can launch an mCASH branded or private labeled debit MasterCard and link that card to a proprietary cellular phone application called mSPACE. The mSPACE data app allows customers to get their balance, transaction history, and move money in near real time, all from the convenience of the customer’s cellular phone. In 2006, mCASH was spun off as an independent company and Paris remains as CEO and Chairman of both telSPACE and mCASH. Paris is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology College of Business where he majored in corporate finance and economics and minored in psychology. He has also completed graduate course work in pricing strategy, business economics, and TQM (total quality management). Ray is an internationally known author, industry analyst, and lecturer, noted for his trademark plain-English, commonsense style. Ray has authored a number of critically acclaimed books, including the best-selling Communications Systems & Networks. His most recent books are Telecommunications Systems & Networks (2007) and Webster’s New World Telecom Dictionary (2007), both published by John Wiley & Sons. He has written hundreds of articles, columns, white papers and case studies for leading industry trade publications and serves on numerous Advisory Boards. Nichole Janner Vice President of Prepaid Services, NetworkIP njanner@networkip.net Nichole manages all aspects of product evolution and enhancements to NetworkIP’s prepaid platform services, keeping up with changes within the prepaid industry, handling customer contracts and pricing, and overseeing NetworkIP customer service. She started with the NetworkIP software team in September 1997 and helped launch the Company in January 1998. Ed is also the Founding Partner in the Maldonado Law Group, a boutique law firm niched in the telecommunications and stored value industry, specializing in matters of regulatory defense with federal and state agencies, corporate structuring and transactions, sale and acquisition of regulated businesses, mediation, and drafting of specialized contracts for new technologies or service offerings in the prepaid industry. Ed is a member of the Florida Bar, United States 11th Circuit Federal Bar, and the US Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit with pending admittance in the United States 7th District Court for Northern Illinois (East District); United States 11th Circuit Middle and Northern Districts of Florida; and United State Supreme Court. Ken Osowski VP of Marketing & Product Management, Pactolus Communications Software kosowski@pactolus.com Ken has directed the development and successful market entry of new generations prepaid telecom service technologies and business models, significantly expanding the addressable market for prepaid services. He was a lead developer of Pactolus’ business plan to support funding activities and market entry, now directs its product strategy and marketing activities, and has helped Pactolus to become one of the industry’s most widely-deployed, flexible and customizable service delivery platforms. A frequent VoIP industry spokesperson and writer, Ken teamed with executives across the industry to educate the market on SIP-based voice service delivery. A veteran in the enhanced services industry, Ken directed Boston Technology’s introduction and commercialization of its carrier-focused voice messaging platform. He served on the editorial advisory boards of publications such as SIP Magazine and, currently, The Prepaid Press.
