Keynote Speakers Mike is the Executive Director Business Product Strategy for Verizon Communications. In this role he leads development of business wireline and wireless product strategies for Verizon Enterprise and Small Business segments. In his 18 years in the communications and networking industry, Mike has been instrumental in bringing market leading Ethernet, IP, Fast Packet and CPE products and services to the marketplace. Mike has held a variety of positions within Verizon including: Director of Ethernet and IP Services, Fast Packet Product Management, & Director of Data Strategy. From 1999-2003 Mike was involved with several early stage networking and IT services companies where he held VP Marketing and Chief Operating Officer Positions. Mr. Tighe is well known in the industry through speaking engagements on IP-VPN and Ethernet and is frequently quoted in industry trade journals and analyst publications. He holds a bachelors degree in Marketing from Wittenberg University and an MBA from the University of North Texas. Ben Vos is Vice President of Core Technologies at Sprint Nextel. He has strategic planning responsibilities across all of Sprint Nextel’s network assets for services and applications, signaling and control, switching and routing, transport, and CDMA access. He also has responsibility for an applied research function that collaborates with leading academic institutions around the world. During Ben’s 19 years with the company, he has held various positions in Technology Development, Sales Support, and Network Services. Ben holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Ben Vos Vice President, Core Technologies Sprint Nexte Prior to joining the IP Division at AlcatelLucent, Douglas Hunt has served as Director in the MNS CTO Office at Lucent Doug Hunt Salv Salv ador Arias CTO, IP Division Technologies where his responsibilities Strategy Partner have included the development of next Alcatel-Lucent IBM generation network services, architecture and infrastructure models for service providers, worldwide. His current responsibilities include contributing to the strategic development of MPLS-based services and technologies within Alcatel-Lucent and within industry standards organizations. He is the author or co-author of 8 issued US patents relating to data communications and switching architectures. Group Manager IP & Ethernet Services Alla Reznik is a Group Manager with Verizon Alla Resnik Business Product Marketing responsible Group Managr, IP & for IP & Ethernet services. In this position, Ethernet Services she leads marketing and strategic posiVerizon Business tioning of the overall IP & Ethernet product portfolio for Verizon Business. Ms. Reznik has more than a decade of experience in the telecommunications field. She began her career with MCI (now Verizon Business) eight years ago leading product marketing and development efforts for ISDN, Access, DSL, Secure Gateway, IP VPN, Private Line and Optical services and, most recently, Ethernet, IP and VPLS. Before joining MCI in 1997, Ms. Reznik worked at AT&T International in Washington, DC in the capacity of Business Development manager where she promoted AT&T’s business with foreign governments. Prior to starting her career in telecommunications, Ms. Reznik worked at the World Bank. Ms. Reznik has a graduate degree in Management from the New School University in New York City, and she also completed telecommunication courses at New York University’s Stern School of Business toward her graduate degree in Management.
