Training Industry Quarterly - Summer 2008 - (Page 8) EZINE EMAIL Dear Editor: I am writing to both congratulate and thank you on the launch of Training Industry Quarterly. My colleagues and I are already impressed with your high-level content, wide breadth of topics and excellent guest writers. In addition, I wanted to formally share my enthusiasm for your focus on the “business of learning.” I love the concept and I think it will interest a lot of people. I find the most appealing aspect is that it can be interpreted two ways. Training suppliers can learn how to grow a training business, make partnerships, develop products, etc.; while training buyers can use it as a helpful resource on how to align training with company goals or run training departments more like a business or profit center. Training leaders are consistently looking for best practices and there are a lot of hungry minds for the information that you are providing. Training vendors also deserve another media outlet that highlights the value they bring to market. Often viewed as a different peer group than training leaders, they in fact enhance the learning space and keep pushing the needle forward. I look forward to seeing future issues and wish you great success! Gordon L. Johnson Expertus Dear Editor: Thank you so much for putting together an excellent e-magazine!! I was so excited to receive something that is easy to read and touches on issues that affect what I do every day. I look forward to receiving future editions. Barb Elgin Training & Development Officer Salmon Arm Savings and Credit Union Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada Dear Editor: Your new ezine format is fantastic. I know I’m not different than most with a large stack of unread industry magazines piled up on my desk. The crazy schedules we all keep make it hard to find the time to read everything that hits the desk. The new format gives it portability and it’s easy to review while traveling or on weekends. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into it. Thanks for sharing it with me. I look forward to upcoming issues.
