Our Commitment to Your Privacy The privacy of all Tree Farmers is of the utmost importance to the American Tree Farm System®. In order to protect your privacy we are committed to the following: • Together, the American Forest Foundation and its program, the American Tree Farm System® maintain a secure database for member contact information, allowing state Tree Farm programs secure access. • AFF and its state leadership use the database for the following programmatic communication purposes: - ATFS programmatic newsletters - Tree Farmer Magazine or state program magazines - Invitations to Tree Farm related events including Tree Farm ﬁeld days, tours, workshops, conventions, meetings, etc. - Important updates, including changes to the Standards of Sustainability, third-party assessments, etc. - Tree Farm related fundraising campaigns - Advocacy outreach - Surveys and research to beneﬁt ATFS forestry programs As a certiﬁed Tree Farmer you have the following responsibility to help us maintain a clean an accurate database to ensure the credibility of our program. • You, as a member, are responsible for contacting either the American Forest Foundation or your state program with changes to your contact information. • You may opt out of receiving communications that are outside of ATFS business mailings and sent by nonproﬁt or for-proﬁt partners. • You may not opt out of receiving programmatic communications, as described above, which include important programmatic updates that directly effect members. • If you, as a member, no longer would like to participate in the American Tree Farm System®, you may contact the American Forest Foundation or your state program to be removed as a member from the program.
