It is a great place to discover several species of fish, including channel catfish, largemouth bass, bluegill, walleye, and other anadramous species. The pond is open to children under 14 and disabled permit holders. ids’ Picks K aquatiC splash parK At the push of a button, the young and young-at-heart can dance or dash their way through a series of jets that spout water in an ever-changing array of streams, spurts, sprays, and splashes at the Aquatic Splash Park located near the Playground of Dreams and the Family Fishing Pond in Columbia Park. Columbia riVer exhibition oF historY, sCienCe, anD teChnologY (Crehst) museum The CREHST Museum is a great adventure for kids with hands-on demonstration activities ranging from archeology to Nano Science, a detailed history of the Tri-Cities area, and varying exhibits throughout the year. Located in Richland, just above Howard Amon Park, CREHST Museum is a must-see for children of all ages. Js DreamlanD express plaYgrounD oF Dreams This 12,000 sq. ft. playground stands adjacent to the Family Fishing Pond in Columbia Park. Features representing local landmarks and attractions (e.g. the Columbia River, the Blue Bridge, the Cable Bridge, and a hydroplane) and components requested by local elementary school children, such as a pirate ship, dragon slide, castle maze, and rocket, make the Playground of Dreams unique. This colorful, whimsical train-trolley provides riverside fun for the entire family!
